   Dr. Douglas M. Martin

     Dr. Martin graduated from The University of California in 1973 and was an assistant clinic professor in the prosthetics department in the late 1970's.  Now specializing and Board Certified in Implantology, he helps patients who have minor to very severe damage to their mouths in order to restore them to form and function. 
Dr. Martin is and has been an examiner for The California State Board of Dental examiners Conscious Sedation section.

     Dr. Martin became interested in Implants in 1974 and did over 600 Implants from 1975 to 1983 in his private practice.  From this knowledge base, he decided to focus on Implants and trained at the Misch Implant Institute, Tatum Institute, Loma Linda with Dr. Bob James, The American Academy of Implant Dentistry, The International College of Implantology, Pacific Implant Center, and UCSF Implant Maxi courses.  His curriculum vitae includes over 1200 hours of continuing education in Implantology.  He has learned every type of implant available to the advanced Implantologist.
     He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology / Implant Dentistry and a Fellow of The International College of Implantology.  He has taught Implantology since 1984, working with
Dr. Larry Lum and The University of California Maxi courses as well as a variety of post graduate individual courses and study clubs.
